Hello Styx. Welcome to BYC! Do you want chickens? Only you can answer that. But, look at it logically. Here you are, the product of all of your ancestors. Ancestors who survived by their intelligence, and ingenuity, through hundreds of thousands of years as humans. You exist only because your ancestors were survivors, people who could adapt. Chickens too, are here. Scientific evidence links chicken all the way back to theropod dinosaurs. Tyranosaurus Rex, was closely related to a chicken, and 65 million years ago, he was king! There was nothing (of scientific evidence) that indicate anything even close to a human at that time. But if there was, would dinosaurs keep them as pets, in coops, to feed themselves and their young? Probably not, but I bet they would eat us if given a chance and so would a seventeen foot tall chicken. A seventeen foot tall chicken would for all inclusive purposes, be a dinosaur. Lucky for us, that we are the giants to them. Now humans are in charge (god help us), and we get to decide the fate of this little dinosaur prodigy. As long as people take an interest in these little creatures, they will continue to exist, without us, they are doomed to extinction (most varieties). What would your ancestors say if you were to ask them what they think of you getting chickens? Anyway, I hope you find this amusing and if you happen to be creationist, please disregard this post.
