Does she drink any water? As to food, she may be tempted by mashed hard boiled egg yolk. Do you keep her as a house pet? Since you only have one and chickens are flock animals, it may be a great choice. Humans become the flock. Please check out "People with house chickens." Hope she will recover soon
I'm sorry to here about your chicken. Can you post some photos your chicken and of her wounds?
You have recieived some good advice and support from everyone.
Keeping an injured chicken warm and calm is always a good idea.
General wound care would be to flush the wounds with saline, diluted betadine, chlorhexidine or even warm soapy water - whatever you have to clean them. Then apply a triple antibiotic ointment or vetericyn.
Sometimes chickens do go into shock, but should become responsive in a few hours unless severely injured. Keeping her hydrated is the most important thing - she will be o.k without food for a day or so, but try to get her drinking. If you have poultry electrolytes or vitamins those would be good. You can also use Gatorade (I've hear chickens like fruit punch flavor) or even a little sugar water. Once she is drinking, then see if she will eat - try her normal feed or some chopped egg.
We look forward to your photos - let us know how she is.
We checked her over and did not find any wounds. She is back to normal now though. Clucking away and eating her feed. Thank you for your concerns. And advice.
