Hello! Newbie here!

Wow, you just moved them outside at 11 weeks? How did you manage? With my first brood, I couldn't stand them in the house longer than 4 weeks, my 2nd batch went to the coop at 2 weeks old and finished brooding outside. Did you ever take them outside on field trips when they were little? Just helps them to build immunities early. Your coop looks fabulous... I can really tell you put a lot of thought into the design. Nice job! Thank you for sharing all those lovely pics. Best wishes in your new adventure!

My name is Jenni and I live in New Mexico (yes we are a state and yes we actually get asked that) ;)

I live in the city and decided to get chickens. My pullets were born on Halloween and were just moved outside two weeks ago. They are now 13 weeks old. This is my first ever, and I love it!!! My neighbors are excited for the eggs.

My husband built me an amazing coop. My pullets seem happy and they are friendly toward me and they have shown my cat that they are boss. (They are only near each other when I'm outside too)

I currently have 9, but I know I have to reduce my flock due to the size of my coop (which I hope doesn't affect my flock in a negative way). I have 4 Buff Orpingtons and 5 Gold Sex Links. I plan on keeping 2 buffs and 3 sex links.

I love the little greeting sounds they make when I'm near and that they follow me around everywhere in our yard. They are funny to watch too.
