I have been on the BYC site for a couple of years now but I am just posting now because I am finally getting my coop set up and am expecting my girls to arrive in a couple of weeks.
I grew up in the Pa. Farm lands and was around a lot of livestock, but the chickens were always my favorite. There were a dozen Rhode Island Reds with great personalities, so much fun to watch and work with. Of course they had their job to do, which was to provide eggs, which they did without fail.
I have 8 of my own on their way and working to make sure they will be comfortable as possible when they get here.
Besides getting back into chicken keeping, I also home brew, carpentry and ride motorcycles.
I am happy to have BYC as a resource and I hope everyone is being safe and sound with all that is going on.
Have a great day!
