I'm new to country living and new to chickens. I just purchased four 17 week old Hy-Line Brown chickens a couple of weeks ago. I didn't want to do the chick thing so I found this option through Southern States and so far have been thrilled with these hens. Three of them are already laying regularly, and one has laid one egg a couple of days ago.

I hope all goes well.
