Hi,
I'm near Seattle, WA.
I'm new to chickens, only raised (and bred) canaries in the distant past.
I've no chickens, and I'm most likely to go for quails. At least at first. I'll likely get some Japanese Coturnix quails.
I'm looking forward to have some eggs and meat production, even in small amounts. I like gardening and there's a real satisfaction in eating one's produces.
I've plenty of hobbies such as riding motorcycles.
I've no pets, and this will be on a 1/3 acre (somewhat steep hill unfortunately) single family home in the suburbs.
BYC always comes up in searches and has great articles. It's time for me to really join in.
