Hello, I am new to this website. I have been a member on facebook but this is new to me. I have had chickens for just over a year. I had always wanted chickens but unfortunately I lived in the city and was not going to bother my neighbors with them. I grew up in the country and was always raised around all types of animals. We moved to the city when we had children so that they would have better school options. Hated it the whole time! Chickens however are new to me so I am still learning. Had no idea there are so many different breeds!! WOW!!!! I have 11 chickens 3 I was just given today. Glad to be a part of the group. Thank you!!!

Have you quarantined your new birds? Hope the integration process goes well, but it's usually a good idea to keep them separated for a while just to make sure there are no hidden illnesses or parasites. These articles may help give some pointers:
