This is my first time of raising backyard chickens,did not know there was so much to learn ,I've been doing so as I go,wish I could have taken a class first.Did not seem my parents had to deal with so much with theirs,but they ended up killing them all about 4 years in to it .So my chickens are my babies,I love each and every one.started out we took in 4 hens babies( chicks) after she had to move and could not take them.Then after bout a year one hen went broody,felt sorry for her cuz eggs weren't fertilized,so I went to close by neighbor and got 7 fertile eggs 4 hatched ,that was in 2019 .

Well I would like to think so all started out well but this year we had 2 deaths and now rooster problems I posted in emergencies section.my 2 hens passed from egg colitis.
