Thanks to every one that welcomed and gave me advice. I did go to the predator forum, and got some good ideas that did not involve killing the coons. I have always believed that the deer, rabbits, opossums, raccoons, and rattlers lived here long before me. Thanks again to all of you.

Welcome to BYC. As you have discovered, chicken wire keeps chickens in but does not exclude predators. Good luck with protecting your birds.
