I just got day old chicks yesterday (hatched at hatchery on Saturday) and one of the blue silkie chicks is strangely bloated. It seems to be a "pocket" right under its beak. It feels like a pocket of air. I picked it up and gently opened its mouth--could see nothing, and the pocket went down. When it drank some water, within a few minutes, the pocket was back. It also is keeping one eye closed. I put QuikChik in their water, they are eating non-medicated crumbles, and have all been vaccinated for Coccidosis and Marek's. There is nothing in the brooder that it could have eaten or "gotten into". None of the others seem to have this issue--there are 2 black Silkie chicks, and 3 blue ones. We also got 10 Auracanas and several Japanese bantams. They all seem to be fine, except this one. Help! What should/can I do???
