I use wet sponges in the bator. It holds the humidity up there well and easy to rewet and replace when I am meddling to refresh the humidity. You can use vent holes and tubing to add water if opening the bator worries you.I already lockdown too since started day 18
I can't stop myself to open the lid to fill water because humidity drop to 60% when I start with 75%
But they didn't pip out yet ....so I guess it's ok
My bator has little hole in front and side
Can I squeeze water in there for raise humidity up ?
I'm going crazy....so worry about humidity....and scared they won't hatch !!!

Yay! So exciting! I wouldn't worry until they've been pipped at least 18 hours. 24 is better. As long as they aren't making multiple pips w/o zipping and the membrane around the pip stays dry and papery and white, there shouldn't be a problem if your humidity is up. If the membrane turns yellowish/brown, and sticky/leathery then you will need to at least moisten it and probably unstick the inner membrane from chick just at the pip.The babies are coming!! First pip last night and we could see its little beak pushing at the shell this morning. Woot woooot! What should I be looking for that would tell me that I need to intervene?

If you can, play this at the bator:

Usually it's a good motivator and really gets them going. I play it periodically once they start pipping and constantly when I have a zipper.
If a chick starts zipping and stalls for more than half an hour I would help it. The zipping process should not take that long. Mine are out w/in 15-20 from start to finish of zip. Most cases I hear where chicks stall during zip, they don't make it.
