HELP ASAP!!

She *will* stave to death unless if you don't clear the blockage. If I were you I would start weighing her daily and tube feeding, it's way too dangerous to syringe feed the proper amount of food that she needs, trust me! And once she gets to about 1/2 of her ideal body weight there is very little hope that she will recover even with extreme supportive care.

You'll need a size 18 french catheter, 35ml or 60ml catheter tip syringes, Kaytee Exact Baby Bird Food.

Crop feeding videos

These are using a crop needle, not a plastic tube.

This one uses a tube like I use

My thoughts would be to keep her hydrated and put vitamins (baby ones without iron) in her water and then maybe see if she can take some very soft food maybe baby food would be good and probiotics. The danger is that if there is a blockage then the food will go off in her crop so massage her crop gently to help her pass it through.
Blockages occur when hens eat long grass and suchlike and it kind if balls up inside them. So oil can help although I'm not sure which one would be best.
Don't despair we are routing for her, and you. Just do your best.
I think you'd be best with either a tube or a syringe to feed her. You could try raw egg too.
Very best of luck xx
Mineral oil is what should be used because it is not digestable.

Follow Kathy's advice to the letter. She's very experienced with these things and don't be afraid of tube feeding.
I followed her videos when I had to force feed and after the first couple of times it's not so nerve racking. It's actually surprisingly quick too so less awful for the chicken and less dangerous than a syringe.

also, will I have to do this for the rest of her life????
*If* she has a blockage that won't pass or won't cause a major infection *and* she won't eat, then yes, you would have to tube her to keep her alive, right? Give the mineral oil the time it needs to work it's way through her system.

FWI, worms can also form a blockage, which is why I recommended you worm with Safeguard.
