HELP baby chicks eye is shut, but now swollen

This baby chick barely opens its left eye, and it is a grey foggy color. Today we checked it’s eye again and it looks as if it’s buldging! What should I do, what can I do, any idea what’s wrong?

Got it ... looks like it's filled with pus Is it sneezing? Any discharge from the nose/mouth? Need more experienced help here....

That tiny eye looks like a hen I'm presently treating for the same thing.

It appears it could be a simple eye infection or a symptom of a respiratory illness. Is the chick sneezing or congested sounding?

I would treat for an eye infection first and see if it responds. First flush the eye with saline solution or liquid tears in case there are foreign bodies in the eye.

Then take a tiny bit of Neosporin or triple antibiotic ointment and pull down on the lower eye lid and wipe the ointment right above the exposed eye. Be sure your hands are sanitary or wear surgical gloves.

If the eye doesn't respond to that treatment, you will probably need to find an antibiotic and try that.
