HELP..Barred Rock he/she debate..

Now that I have seen you WL they are not white leghorns... they are DEF California Whites because of the black spots (California Gray BARRED x White Leghorns) And you DEF have 2 boys that are the result of a Sex Link cross. You have a Solid roo over a barred hen = BSL roos!

He/she will sure be pretty when his/her head is completely healed! I still say SHE is too sweet to be a roo, but probably cuz I gave HIM so much love and care when IT got hurt!

So you think one of the now-known-as California Whites, not White Leghorns, is mom? Obviously my Cochin is the dad. Why can't the all important sexing be easier?????

Hen and a rooster. The hen is the one missing feathers on the head. Most likely from being ridden by the boys, could be from wire but most likely from aggressive roo.

Now that I see the new pictures, I agree with you. One looks like a female.

I hope we are right! I wouldn't say anything is 100% yet though. at 3 1/2 months my BR (I know not the same breed, but anyway) had really developed hackle/saddle/sickle feathers. He even had them a month earlier.

No doubt, both roos. I can see saddle and hackle feather on both. Beside that the red in the wings in a male trait. Everything about these two says 'roo'.
