Help blood pooring out of my pipped egg

Sorry to report she didn't make it she lived for a couple hrs she did hatch all the way but I think it was just too much for her I went to check on her and she was gone my 6yo son admitted to messing with the egg after it pipped so I now have a lock on the incubator so no one can get in it but me he sat crying as we buried her saying sorry

Aw I'm sorry. As I was reading through these posts catching up I whole heartedly agreed it must have been tampered with. That was just too much blood loss for a little baby like that. I'm glad he learned his lesson though. I'm sure he'll be more careful from now on. He sounds like a sweet little guy.

That's not right - part of that has broken in a circular pattern. That's been tampered with. No chick beak did that.

Hey, I just saw the notification @Weeg. What I tried when this happened to me was getting some original neosporin without pain relief and a Q-tip, putting a medium sized layer of it on the egg and closing the incubator. It hatched out two days later.

Well, this bites. I had a similar thing happen except for no blood pouring out. I thought I would help by taking off some shell and membrane. No need to tell anyone how that turned out.
I didn’t realize I was not helping.
I’m sorry you have this happening. I’m glad to see some posters are trying to keep things on trac and away from finger pointing.
For the record, my egg had a circular hole before I messed with it.

I don't know what to do there is blood pouring out of this egg

It seems that the chick pipped a blood vessel- I have never experienced this however so I couldn’t tell you what to do, look up “piped blood vessel in hatching”
