Help! Bloody Stool!

You might want to give them a small dose of concentrated corid directly into their beak to get treatment kicked off a bit quicker. If you have the liquid Corid, a couple of drops into their beak a couple of times a day as well as the treated water. If you have the powder, 1.5 teaspns dissolved in 2 teaspns of water and give them 2 drops each.

Do you have their food and water raised so that they cannot poop in it and re-infect themselves and get them onto clean dry ground if you can.
Yes I have their waterer placed on a couple bricks along with their feed, I'll be sure to give them an extra boost. Is it safe to treat the entire flock just in case?

Yes, although I would only give the sick looking ones the extra drench directly into the mouth.
Alright thank you very much! I gave the sick ones an extra couple drops with a medicine syringe and I'll head out to the coop and treat their water next

I'm going through this now with an 11 week old, but she is the opposite... No bloody stool but extremely lethargic and can't hold her head up. We have had to syringe everything into get mouth. Would love updates about how yours are doing!!

Aw poor baby I hope she feels better soon :hugs mine aren't extremely lethargic, they can still walk around but they are still pretty weak and prefer to rest. I just feel terrible that there's nothing much I can do! I think my mother instincts have kicked in lol! I'll try and update often, I really do hope your's recovers soon ❤

Alright now I'm really getting nervous, this became so much more serious than I thought. My Wheezy just passed away. He started showing extreme signs of lethargy and unfortunately passed away not that long ago. But now my other 2 aren't showing interest in food what do I do?? They aren't as weak as Wheezy was, but Wheezy became weak so fast I feel like they won't make it at this point

Oh Goodness! I'm so sorry. It could be a strain of coccidia that is resistant to corid and requires sulfa antibiotics but you would need a prescription from a vet for those I believe. Hope someone else can chime in with a more immediate suggestion.

I'd try anything at this point, these little chicks mean a lot but I don't know if there are any avian vets around unless a regular vet would prescribe it? And even then it's Labor day so it wouldn't be today, extremely worried about my older birds ending up like this

When you said "treat the whole flock", do you have others besides these chicks?
You don't need to dose any adults but treat all your 8 week olds.
As for prevention, cleanliness is ok but the key is to keep the bedding bone dry. The coccidia can't complete their lifecycle in the absence of moisture.
