Went to the feed store yesterday for more chick start. Went & let my girls look at the geese, ducks, rabbits, mice, rats & chicks.
They had Light Brahma chicks, the pale yellow & fluffy feet haunted me all night. So today we went back & got two.
Our three Easter Eggers are getting ready to move out with the big girls, and we were going to be baby-less. And they were so cute & fluffy, and will grow to big fluffy hens, and I love big fluffy hens & fat Christmas Trees (see a pattern here)lol:p
So now we are up to 15 chicks. Please feed store, do not get in any more cute or different chicks.

Awwww.... They are so cute! I did this and now I'm in the process of integrating my chicks. I have the 5 younger ones in the coop. I separate the two groups with a wire dog kennel.

My main group of 10 are in the coop/run now, and I have been introducing the 3 EE to the run during the day. But they are only two weeks apart in age. The new babies will not go out for another month, so we can spoil these little ones.

Yes, I am afraid you might have a very serious and contagious disease known as Chicken-Itis! It has serious side effects which include

: unstoppable rants of going to the feed store and uncontrollably buying baby chicks!

: every time a person infected with Chicken-Itis sees a baby chick they have an uncontrollable urge to say "Awwww! Let me hold it!!!!"

I know exactly what you are going through! I came home with 5 new babies yesterday (4 cochin's and a black orpington) so now I am also up to 15. But I guess there are worse addictions then chicken fever
