There's a couple more symptoms that go along with IB. Wrinkled eggs and watery whites in the egg when cracked open. THEN, I would suspect IB. However, the OP hasnt described any symptoms at all and there's no way to tell what disease it is. Alot of the symptoms for these types of diseases are basically the same...MG and coryza come to mind. With coryza, there's a foul odor around the head/nostril area, otherwise I'd suspect MG if this was the case. But again the OP hasnt stated what the symptoms are. Here's a link to respiratory diseases in poultry, hope this helps: BTW, I'm with you on the culling part.Yes I agree having these things done by a vet would be great. I can not afford them nor will I take a chicken to them... Some Do.
I have no experience when it comes to these sicknesses. I have not had to deal with them yet.
That is why I am here trying to learn from all the " HELP ME PLEASE! " posts....and what you and the other OT's have to say to them.
For me...I would need to do lots of research to find out what's wrong. (that's why I try to get links to them) Before I make the decision that I need to kill my entire flock or IF treatment was an option.
I would kill my flock and start over, no problem...... Some Don't.
I must just want to help too much.

One of our Buff Orpingtons got Bronchitis two months or so ago. We put medication in her water, but it didn't seem to be working. After a while, we just took out the medicine and put in apple cider vinegar. It was either time or the apple cider vinegar that cured her.
Your chicken might sneeze a lot, may look and act tired sometimes, and the eye might end up looking pretty bad, meaning swelling or a
heavy amount of bubbles. These symptoms occured in our chicken. Also, you might see traces of the swelling even after the sickness.
This is an illness that just runs its course. All you can really do for it is put in some apple cider vinegar, or some medicine that you put in the water.
Be aware, the sickness is contagious, and it can stay for a while!!
