I think the light might have been a problem. (too hot)Hmm i am not sure it did.
I think with all the fuss of their mum dying and being out in the cold then moving in under a homemade incubator type i made and then moving again because of an infestation of mites. It didnt do them any good.
3 of the eggs were not viable. And some of them were dead. The ones that could have hatched didnt make it due to my limited knowledge on how to help them.
I did apply the oil to the membrane but i fear the chick was dead long ago. I didnt hear any peeps or anything. I think i left it too late when i began to assist.
Lesson learned!
I say this only because I just used a light bulb WITH a working thermometer and it was TOO hot and had to be turned off quite often.
