I will have a look for some next time im at the pet store.

What i have not is a poultry mite rid powder and i also have a spray.

Would it be okay to powder it. The eggs and box?

Mites can be extremely persistent and annoying. I agree with @KikisGirls suggestion, I would get some Permethrin spray.

Hmm, I have never experienced this while incubating eggs so I can't really give you a definite answer... but doesn't the shell absorb lots of things? I don't really know if it would be safe, maybe a lot wouldn't hurt @KikisGirls

Hmm im not so sure either.

Well the powder can be put directly onto the birds as well as the coop... so maybe its okay to use... i will read the instructions on it no doubt it wont help but hey!

You could get any mite off of the eggs and spray the towel under it

I would NOT spray it onto the eggs.

I would pick the eggs up and move them to a clean non-infested towel, maybe to a whole other room in your house.
THEN Spray the crap out of that room with permethrin.

I would also treat your other birds and coop IMMEDIATELY for mites with permethrin.

If it were me, I would remove the eggs, clean all the mites off the eggs, clean absolutely everything from the where the eggs are sitting and make certain there are zero mites. using tape works or if it's in a container...wash the container in hot water.

Then I would put the mite-free eggs back under the light. Being away from the heat for a little while shouldn't hurt the eggs.

If those are red mites, they can live off of the bird for a long time. If they're Northern Fowl mites the will die much sooner, but they will still live for a while. You don't want to risk getting them in your house or spreading them around.

Bring them in and put them on heating pad or under light.If you are only 1day from hatching temp doesn't have to perfect as long as you keep them above 95° and below 104° they will be fine.
