Okay. I just got the opportunity to feel it. It feels hard. Not filled with anything.

What’s the temp where you are? That could cause heat blisters.

It is like 27˚F. You think that can cause them?

I live where it is extremely hot most of the year and I have never in my life had a chicken with the heat blister.

Could possibly be a sinus infection/abscess. @casportpony is quite knowledgeable when it comes to the upper respiratory tract. Hopefully she can weigh in when she gets a moment.

Yeah maybe, I've also heard that It may be respiratory disease, I really hope not. Have you heard anything on that?

The swelling is not normal.
It is possible that she has an infection.

Is a vet visit an option?
Have you brought any new to you birds home in the last few months?
Have you ever had any respiratory like illness in your flock before?

No a vet is not an option.
Well, yes we let one of our broody hen hatch some chicks last month but, I don't think that they are the cause.
And this is the fist time. I've never had this in my flock. Never seen anything close to this before.

Could you possibly be thinking or referring to fowl pox?
