And she gets home soon. How do I get it out?!?!

If it won't come out I'm sooo grounded. Bahiti and Chickie just zipped onto the carpet to follow me...and then what shall henceforth be known as "the incident" happened.

And mom has told me MULTIPLE times to make sure they don't get on the carpet...

Do you have a shop vac? I fill a gallon jug with warm soapy water and dump it on the stain, shop vac it up, dump more water on, shop vac it up and keep repeating until it's gone.

I use laundry detergent and other laundry products for spot cleaning upolstry and carpet. I figure it's all fibers, right?

I have stuff called Kids n Pets (Walmart) that is fantastic for getting any and all stains out of the carpet and upholstery, from poop to coffee to puke (dogs and kids) etc. It takes smells away as well. It is an enzyme based cleaner - don't use something else first as sometimes the other chemicals 'fix' the stain and then nothing else will get it out. Good luck! Guess that won't help with the grounding but hey if you keep it on hand for future situations then you'll be spared the grounding?!

Hot water and paper towels and a fan. Be careful with soaps cuz they can stay in and stain the carpet.

Start scrubbing.

*sigh of relief* thank you all so much! I used a paper towel to get the top stuff off, then sponged at it with a warm wet paper towl.

I then SPRINTED to the laundry room and found we had some Nature's Miracle (from when we used to have a dog) and that got the scent out. Thank goodness for modern day cleaners! You can't even tell they pood.

Mom always said don't play with chicks in the house. Or was that don't play ball in the house?

What time will the beating begin?

haha! Well mom has been quite delightful thus far by letting me brood my first batch of chicks EVER (3 Brahmas, 3 EEs, 2 black silkies) in our dining room on the ping pong table! They have a hugeeee cardboard box and they love it in there. They are the most spoiled things ever, and everyone in the family loves them. Even DAD who resisted getting chickens like the plague (until mom said pleeeease honey? and then he caved instantly) likes them. Dad sneaks over to the brooder and they all hop onto his arm. He just grins. Its SO cute). They get taken out to play several times a day, and follow you around faithfully, leaping onto your lap whenever you sit down. Unfortunately, their following me around was the precise problem when I walked onto the carpet to get another chick out from the brooder!

mom didn't get mad though. I didn't tell her because even with my face down by the carpet there is no color difference and no smell. figure why kick over the hornets nest for no reason?

I ALWAYS tell my parents right away if I damage something in any way (from the kitchen table marker incident to tapping the garage door with the car) but I can't even tell where the spot is anymore, so its all good
