Help chick hatching with crooked beak and no eyes at all !!!!!

If someone said that to me I'd have thought they were rude. Social media on any level tends to make people very brave. Brave enough to say things online they'd never have the guts to say to your face. That's why I quit Facebook years ago. I'd see them and I'd say I saw what you posted and they'd run off flustered. If that's how they are in real life then that's fine, that's how they are. But there are more polite ways to talk to someone (especially someone you don't know) than put on your big girl pants or don't own chickens. Just my opinion. :hmm

Obviously something went wrong in the chicks development. ChickenCanoe gave an answer as to what may have went wrong and what to do about it. I am overly sensitive to a fault and I do not see anything rude about the post in answer to OP. It was a bit harsh, but entirely accurate and true. Nobody is accusing the OP of being a bad chicken owner, they just pointed out it may be best if the chick is euthanized due to quality of life issues.
Raising livestock requires one to make the best decisions for the animal in question, including when to end an animals suffering. I understand not everyone can deal with culling, it is why I no longer raise dairy goats. Just do the best for the creatures in your care , and when in asking for advice... don't shoot the messenger.
Actually, the statement "if you want to be a good chicken keeper, you'll have to put your big girl pants on..." DOES allude that OP is a bad keeper because she is unwilling to cull or kill bugs.
I agree and support OP in this.
You are not a bad person for not wanting to cull if you don't have to.
I prefer to give life a chance. I have had hens completely paralyzed (to the beak) for months, recover with great care and extra love, while having one rooster I had to tube feed his whole life due to a deformity.
Never bred him, but guess what? He was a happy chicken. He ran, he crowed, and loved his brother a little too much lol
Its up to YOU to decide suffering.
Do not let anyone who has not seen your individual animal what is suffering, and what is not.

*Sigh* As I iterated before the response to your first post, wasn't an attack. Sometimes things come across wrongly over the internet. That said, in my opinion the chick IF it survives hatching will most likely not survive, or have any decent quality of life.
How can you decide quality of life without seeing the individual animal? I had a duck that had a bum leg after an injury that was extremely depressed and had to be put down when she didn't want to do anything even drink or eat. Where a friend's duck lost half her beak and face to a snapping turtle, and one wing to a fox. That bird fell over a lot, but boy was she the happiest du k I've ever met!

Poor darling didnt even make it out the shell it passed away before even getting out completely so apparently it had way more issues than just the beak and the no eyes . It's so sad but for the best since it would have had a hard struggle
I'm sorry for your loss, but at least nature made the hard decision for you.
I'm also sorry some attitudes on byc had to make things a little more stressful.

Whoa, I totally missed the big girl pants part , that being said, I have no idea why you are quoting me and pointing out cases of animals that lived with (insert deformity here) and getting defensive. The second quote said in my opinion, which is just that, my opinion. I stated my opinion after reading the OP description and based on my own knowledge it sounded like the wee chick had some serious genetic/formation issues.
I do hope the others in the clutch turn out okay.
