Yes every window and vent has to be covered by hardware cloth. It sounds like a young raccoon. Feral cats, possums,dogs, coyotes, mink, weasels are some of the predators we have.

Yes every window and vent has to be covered by hardware cloth.  It sounds like a young raccoon.  Feral cats, possums,dogs, coyotes, mink, weasels are some of the predators we have.

It was a possum when he squeezed his way through the vent some of his hair stood stuck to the wire. As I examined it , it was a white hair with black tips, and when u googled it it matched with that if a possum, and those are the only animals I have seen in my yard at night , and have trapped before. As I know they like rotting corpses I will use a dead chicken and bait the snare, as I am determined to get the ******* who did this.
