Help chick missing skin on back of head!!

Ok Hi I have raised many chicks before and there are 18 other chicks in my group all from the same mom and dad they are now 6 weeks old however one of our lavender Pekins was pecked (something we never noticed before and wasn’t visible untill today) when I got back from work I found her missing the skin on the back of her head I have put an antibacterial on the wound and separated her along with the mothers who obviously pecked her due to the size of the wound plus the chicks are old enough to be on their own but what do I do now?? Help plz

I think she should be ok. I'd put coconut oil on the wound and just make sure she's eating and drinking normally.

Have you used blue kote, it can help prevent pecking while it is healing

Clean it as best you can. You may need to separate her from the others until she heals. Raw honey, coconut oil or neosporin can work wonders on wounds.

I have already separated her but the honey and coconut oil sounds like a good idea

I would work on healing first as she is already separated. Blu Kote can mask problems with a wound as it literally turns everything blue. If she’s still a little red when you go to put her back with the others I’d say use Blu Kote then.

Does anyone know what I could use to make the skin stronger once the wound has healed as I have just read that large wounds can open up when they are growing as the skin is stretched
