Help!!!! Chick With Only 1 Eye And It Is Shut?

I WAS KINDA OF THINKING THE SAME THING? EVEN THOUGH WHEN I CAME HOME THIS EVENING HE WAS STANDING IN THE FOOD BOWL EATING, WHICH IS A GOOD SIGN, BUT I'M NOT SURE IF HE IS GETTING ENOUGH FOOD OR WATER? I GUESS THE ONLY THING THAT WILL TELL IS TIME, SO LET'S SEE WHAT HAPPENS. SO FAR I SEE NO SIGN OF WEAKNESS HE IS STILL RUNNING AROUND NICE AND STRONG.

I'm glad to hear he is still doing well.

Well it's been a week now and the little chick is still running around, eating and drinking and playing with the others. Still keeping my fingers crossed and watching so closely.

I had blind duck at 1 point that did just fine. I always put him near food and water dishes and he managed to eat and drink. A predator eventually got him, probably an easy target.
One thing you could do is brood the group on starter crumbles. The bedding is the crumbles. He will always have acess to food this way. Over the summer I did this method with my baby chicks and it worked great. Just removed clumped/pooed on pieces with a cat litter scooper.
Good luck!

I guess you are alot smarter than I am at raising chicks. Gave them food and water last night and all were fine and dandy. Got up this morning and peeped in on them before I was to leave for work and sure enough, the poor little chick was "stiff has a board".

It must have been exactly like you said and not getting enough water and food and when the yolk was gone it died, (today is day 8). Hope it didn't suffer to much? The good news is all the rest are doing fine and are starting to get some feathers.
