Sumatrass, that sounds like it could be ILT, but MG, bronchitis, and coryza can be similar. ILT can cause the severe gasping. Aspergillosis from mold will cause gasping also. I would not treat birds who are not yet showing symptoms, since this can cause antibiotic resistance. Since some of the diseases are viruses that have to run their course, you may not see a whole lot of improvement, but the antibiotic may help prevent secondary infections. Tylan 50 injectible is a stronger antibiotic, and you can give 1 ml for 5 lb and over, 1/2 ml for under 5 lb, and 1/4 ml for bantams daily for 3-5 days as a shot or by mouth.
