Help! Chicken leg got stuck in trap!

A hen got stuck in an animal trap we set up to get something messing with birds in a tractor. There’s not too much broken skin, looks pretty wonky. I’ve got her in an Epsom warm water soak and cleaned with peroxide.
What do I do? We have other “gimpy” birds who use one leg to get around, but should we cull? Should I wrap with vet wrap?

She just ate a whole egg with the shell and is drinking fine. She seems very happy that’s she’s out of the trap. For now I’ll leave her in the sink to soak but want any help I can get. Please and thank you to anyone who offers advice!

I can provide more pics if necessary, just didn’t want to disturb her since I just got her soaking.

Depending on how long she was in the trap, and how badly the leg is injured, there is a possibility that her foot will atrophy, dry up, and fall off. This also happens to birds with frozen feet. If this happens, with one totally functional foot/leg she should be fine. I would not cull her.

Thank you. It wouldn’t have been more than a day and a half that she was there.

I have since removed her from soak and she’s nestled in the bathtub. I made her a raw egg with turmeric, garlic and ginger powder and she’s loving it. It’s her second egg in the past hour or so.

So is it safe to say I should just wait it out until a day or two goes by? What do yiu think about vet tape? Should I just wait to see if she has any mobility there?

I would clean the broken skin with Betadine or Equate First Aid Disinfectant from Walmart. It is most likely broken and you could try splinting it. I would confine her to a wire dog crate with food and water but kept near the other chickens so that she could see them. The splint needs to be padded with something like an aluminum padded finger splint or 2 popsicle sticks and vet wrap. Here is a good splinting manual and check on page 22:
