Help Chickens dying!

Did you ever get a chance to call TSC and Purina? Was there a recall on the food? What did they say when you explained the reason for your call was your concern for your chickens?
So sorry to hear about the Easter egger passing away and glad the Buff Orpington is doing better.
Talked to Purina they said they would have someone call us back. That was over 2 days ago. Didn't call TSC because Purina said that bag of feed was not expired. We are saving some of the grain because Purina said their quality control may want some of it for testing.

We didn't notice anything wrong with the bag. No funny smell or stain. Nothing looked or smelled out of the ordinary. The grain actually smells good.

Well seeing how I'm just a witch ( I'm actually thinking of another word though) I would have called TSC and made a complaint especially if I could prove my chickens (or chicks) were healthy before they were given the grain that I purchased at their store.
That's just me though.

Last week we bought a new chicken feed that TSC had on sale. It was a Purina brand. Then two days ago we woke up and found three chicks dead. All our chicks are between 3 and 4 months old. The first thing we did was to remove the largest three hens (they have been integrated for about two weeks with no problems) from the coop just in case. Several other chicks were acting ill that morning. They were lethargic and messy poop on their butts.

This morning when we came out, three more chicks were dead. Two are still a little lethargic, but seem better than yesterday. We let all the chickens out of the coop and are getting ready to do a thorough cleaning on the coop.

We have lost 2 buff orpingtons, 3 cochins and 1 white rock. One more orpington and a easter egger are still not feeling well. The odd thing is that all 3 of our tiny bantam D'uccles are doing fine. Does anyone know what is going on?
I just bought Purina last week and started feeding with it. I heard about decreased egg production and just figured I would keep an eye on it in case it's true. 1 week later not only are my girls not producing as many eggs but One of my sweet girls were dead this morning. I am dumping it all out and going back to country time feed.
