HELP!! Coyotes everywhere!!

The following site has what are purported to be coyote pup distress call MP3's free for download (if it is the real deal the mp3 can be copied multiple times, converted, and then recorded to a cassette tape). Probably find a battery powered player for a dollar at a garage sale. Place it out in a cleared field of fire and wait for the adults to show up.

I know this works for foxes.

Site has graphic pics of retired vermin: http://www.varmintal.com/coy5-20.htm

My nephew actually has used one of these and they do work! His is a recording he uses over a speaker system, but it works!

one thing I've heard is if you end up killing one...leave the body there for a while (couple days maybe)...it will deter any others from the area. (what our wildlife dept told us here).

My hay man was just here, and he told me he downloaded distressed bunnie sounds from Varmint Al's site. He said he went out, turned it on and by the time he counted to 1 thousand and 3, 3 coyotes were running down to the sound. He shot them all.

Time has come to get a couple of large dogs. My friend Andy in Pendleton Indiana had to get a cross between German Shep and Rottie. He only has 2 acres, and is surrounded by farmland. The Coyotes are bad out there. The Coyotes try to lure his dog out into the corn fields, but his dog is too smart. Cause those suckers will attack your dog in numbers. That is why I have 7 adult dogs and 2 pups. ALL are either German Sheps or my Newfie Pit Bull mixes. That keeps most everything on 4 legs and 2 legs off the property. And they are ALL great with kids of all ages. AFTER they have been properly introduced.
GOOD LUCK.

I wouldn't use a predator call. That's just going to lure them to your property from all over. As far as your birds go, spray the outside of the coop with diluted bleach. As far as your kids you cant be safe enough. A fenced in yard is a good idea. Look at this link I just found. I honestly didn't think they ever attacked people. Scary!

My fox hounds and coonhounds are only 15 yards from the hen house- haven't had a problem with yotes, bears, coon, cats, etc and my birds. have been woken up at night though when the dogs are barking up a storm as a critter comes through. Barking is short lived and everyone's garbage bird feeders, etc are kept intact. Kinda symbiotic. I enjoy the occassional sighting, footprints in the mud, scattered droppings, and my birds have been safe. Good luck, keystonepaul
