That is a wrong end pipper... check to see if it is still alive... and carefully open that pip up a bit... watch for blood, that is an internal and external pip done at the same time...

He is alive!!! His beak was right under that pip. I opened it just a tad.

You just needed to make sure it could breath and nares weren't covered... give it time and see how it does...

Since I have no idea when that one guy pipped, how do I measure time? Should I just give him another 12 hours and see what happens? And if he seems distressed before that I'll move to help?
