Help! Duck has injured eye!

Update for miss Abigail. This morning she was fairly active and quacking and drinking normally. I'm worried that she's not eating enough though, she'll take a bite of food, then drop most of it and stretch her neck, I think her neck is sore that it hurts to swallow. The blood bruise on her back is almost gone, and all the bite wounds look clean and pinks her eye doesn't look worse or better. I think there might be a burst blood vessel there? She can still use the eye though. She was actually trying to groom herself, and even layed an egg! Is there anything I can do to help her eat? I made the food a mash to kind of help, but she's only eating tiny amounts.

I usually make like a soupy gruel so they can actually drink it, if she is drinking that may be the way to feed her for a few days until her ne ck is feeling better. also some poultry vitamins in her drinking water. No wounds on her neck? we had a member a few years ago with a duck a dog got hold of and the dog bit into the esophagus water and feed would come out the hole. Hopefully nothing like that with your duck. Sounds like she is making progress.

She has bites between her shoulder blades, and her neck is bruised, but her esophagus isn't punctured. I'll make the feed more spupy

Wow that is for sure, do you know who the dog belongs too?  These dogs are trained to protect flocks. Something  went wrong  there I'd say.
Ha! Yeah, the dog is ours, he's a rescue. Pretty much dumped on us, and came from an abusive home. Took forever to get him to not try to kill the cats, and I have tried for so long to get him used to the chickens and ducks, but it hasn't gone well. He's usually on a cable if I'm not walking him or he's not indoors, but that day he was on our wrap around gated deck, and he broke through the gate. Lesson learned.

Wow even worse when it our own, I learned that the hard way about 4 yrs ago when my lil Dachshund got one of our ducklings and after he killed it he brought in in through the dog door. Mine do fine with adults ducks, chickens and geese but babies they are not allowed around at all.

Update! Abigail's eye is just starting to look better, and the swelling is going down. He back still looks rough, but no infection in sight. The crack on her bill is giving her a bit of trouble. If she bangs it too hard, the cut will drop a bit of blood. Don't know how to fix that. Still not eating a lot, but getting much better, and starting to see solids in her poo

Since you not using antibiotics put some ACV in her water 1-2 Tab to 1 gal of fresh water it will help with healing and can kill some bacteria. also some neo with out pain may help too.
Glad to hear her eye is looking better keep using what ever you are on her open wounds and keep her away from flies if you still have them around you don't want to have to deal with maggots .
Thanks for update.

I've been putting neosporin on them, and flushing them out with saline a few times a day, I'll start using the acv as well. She's in an isolated part of my basement, so no critters at all for her to deal with.
