Help! Duck suddenly limping really badly, VERY hot leg!

My female also was limping, foot folded and joint swollen. I took her to the vet. They x-rayed, found no broken bones. Her swollen joint was hot to the touch, they tried to extract fluid with no luck. They gave me pain meds and antibiotics. After one dose of each last night, she seems better already! It cost $300 but I'm so relieved she is on her way to recovery. She will get her meds every 12 hours for a few days, problem solved thank goodness.
