Wow!! What great insightYour little Duckling is probably still absorbing his yolk in his belly so that's the reason it's feet are not open. I place those into a margarine container in the incubator till they find their feet.
Best wishes..I've hatched many and within 24 hours they are up on their feet after resting and absorbing the yolk..Wow!! What great insight
I will give that a try!! Thank you.
It’s actually a really common solution. It works, too!I’ve just never heard of putting a duckling or chick into a bowl when yolk sac wasn’t protruding and I have hatched many too.
If other ducklings are stepping on it or messing with it, a bowl is a great separation device. For what though protruding yolk sac yes? That is what I’ve heard it used for.
