I am a duck dad too. I had to keep duck mom away from the ducklings at TSC this afternoon. She wanted the chocolate Runners they had.

Bad duck dad what's wrong with getting a few Chocolate Runners they don't take up much room

We still have one too many drakes as it is. The plan is next year, we can get more ducklings. Another thing is a Rouen and a Pekin that was in the same trough were looking sick. Crusted eyes and could not hold up their head.

So sad that is why I don't go near any place that has chicks or ducklings. I can't handle it.

Seriously. if you have weasels get cats!!! They have kept them at bay here. I have cats upon cats... I hate cats...BUT I hate weasels and rats more.....I let my old get (let as in how could I stop her) from having kittens a couple times a year.

I feed them enough food to not be overly hungry, but not enough they become lazy.

I doubt they would take on a mink, BUT I have not lost a chick to the small fur bearers since I got cats..
