Help! Ducks attacked by mink!

All the best with this feeding. It’s 1:20 am here (WV). I haven’t been on here for a few days ( my Mom died) so I’ve had a good bit of reading to catch up. Will check back in the morning to see your ducks are doing well.

Carmella took 45mL of her food, and seems very happy about it. Ducks are getting better every day. I hope I can get them started eating food on their own again soon(any tips for the transition?) Carmella is drinking water on her own now and holding her head up 90% of the time. Not certain how much she is drinking, so I plan on continuing tubing fluids before food until she starts drinking regularly.

Do you still have access to the scale? I usually stop tubing when they are gaining weight and eating/drinking on their own. If still losing weight they get tubed even if they are coming at the food a little, though I might scale back to two feedings day and watch their weight..

I was thinking about Carmella while I was at work today, glad to see she's on the road to recovery. What do you plan on doing about the mink? Can you trap it and relocate it or "take for a car ride"?

No car rides please... I have enough of my own fur bearers here... you just relocate the problem when you move them... I suggest a nice mink stole.

I had a raccoon trying to find a way into my coop.... I trapped it and my own mother came over with her .22 and he was no problem anymore! My mom said he must have weighed 40 lbs!!
