My wife would really enjoy a fur lining for her moccasins. And I quite enjoy leatherwork. Never tanned a hide before, but I can learn! Not sure if I can do the deed though. I love animals. But I'm also pretty sure I love my ducks more than a nasty murdering blood sucker.

I had to re-read this to see what you meant by it. It is the same words lots of normal people use to describe Dux...:lau:lau:lau

Weight update! Gregory is up to 6lbs(from 5.4lbs on Friday)! Carmella has dropped from 4.6lbs to 4.4lbs since Friday. I hope to see a turnaround in weight as I increase her food volume.
Great news on Gregory! At 4.4 pounds, Carmella is now 2000 grams. Now that she can hold her head up, she should be able to tolerate 60 ml per feeding.

No mink, but we have loads of weasels in my area. I lost several chickens to them when I first started out. I finally solved the problem by running an electric wire around my yard. The only pain is that the bottom wire can't be much more than about 1 to 1 1/2 inches off the ground, or the weasels seem to slither right under somehow. So, once a week, every week, I'm out there weeding and clearing debris from the lowest wire. But it works. Only one weasel loss in the last 4 years, and that was due to the electric fence going out in a storm. I tried trapping them, but I didn't have any luck.

I wonder if I could just set up a wire around the perimeter of the coop.... Also I wonder if my dog would have to learn about it the hard way. Lol
