HELP! First time NERVOUS Hatcher-Duckling pipped! Not ready at all- please help!

I keep telling myself that, even when they do externally pip I'll still be waiting at least 24 hours, if not longer. But I'm still excited. I'll feel better once they have pipped externally though.
I don’t have a wet bulb thermometer- nor a “real bator”, however it’s rainy and super humid outside today and I added a large sponge sitting in a shallow dish of water- I can feel that the humidity is definitely at minimum 60.

Waiting for ducklings to hatch is certainly a test of your patience. But it sounds like both of your eggs are still pretty good at this point.
Yes! I’m hoping for a happy ending, the start of their story is tragic, but sweet at the same time- I “inherited” my eggs from my garden when Mama Duck was taken by a fox 3 weeks ago and I had to act quickly. Thankfully I was sitting near the window the exact moment Mama Duck was taken because it was freezing and raining. Had I not gotten them then- I probably wouldn’t have known until it was too late. I didn’t know how old they were or anything, but here we are 3 weeks later and as of an hour ago, all ten were still alive!!! :jumpy:woot

When I candled the internal pippers- I could hear the clicking (which I believe is them “learning” to breath? Regardless of what it means- I hear clicking, which means they’re still alive!!!

I made a safety hole in my egg that has now been internally pipped for 24 hours. I listened and candled and it just didn't seem as active as it was. It wasn't peeping when I talked to it either. Once I made that hole (which wasn't easy!) it started to peep again so I'm glad I stepped in. The others all seem fine for now. :fl

Oh lord- see that’s what I’m nervous about- I don’t want to make a safety hole leading to a shrink wrap issue- but I do not want suffocation either!!!

I’m so glad to hear your little pipper is vocal!!! It’s so reassuring to hear them talk to you!

Haa! I’m no longer, “in the brooder”!! I’m “CHIRPING” now! Looks like I’m moving on up in BYC!!! :D

So I’ve had my face glued to the little window I made on my fake bator for HOURS!!! I bet the second I decide to get my face off of it- one of my internal pippers will externally pip

I will then be a little upset, lol!!!

Yep, I'm checking mine every 5 seconds, just in case.

Uh- my gosh- they are so close, yet so far away from hatching!!! Patience hasn’t always been my thing either, lol!!! That’s another reason I’m a bit nervous about the hatch-my impatience- I don’t want to have to make a decision regarding the hatch at all. I am hoping they just all pip and hatch on their own :fl
