Help for my ducks safety

Happy to help in any way I'm pretty new at this too, we got our first pair of ducklings about two years ago and still learning something new every day. If you do a search for coops on here and then click images there will be lots of pics for some good ideas, some folks have some really amazing setups.
Everyone on here has been so nice and helpful, always happy to answer our questions...even made a few friends along the way

Update
So my babies stayed in the house last night. I feel much better today about letting them free range in the yard. I will keep you updated on the Repel all that I got and let you know if it works. Thank you all so much for all your help I truly appreciate it

I got myself two of them. They are babies themselves. We are going to release them in a national park right here by us lots of woods but, still people around for them to get food and stuff like that. We think they’ll do phenomenal over there and it’s actually safer for them.

I have to say, I’m not a fan of releasing predators in other areas. There’s a good chance that they will return, or become a problem for someone else, or at worst slowly die of starvation or run into a competitor that already lives in the area you release them. In the last three days we have killed 4 raccoons lurking in fruit trees and around our chicken coop. I think it was a family of three and another single. This time of year they are particularly active, so don’t let down your guard. And if you’re able, i’d Still keep the ducks inside until you can build a safer night shelter for them.

I don’t kill anything if given the opportunity. All animals have a purpose. I honestly feel bad because I wouldn’t have to relocate them but because they got one of my ducks eggs my ducks pen will now always be a food source.

You may also want to make sure it is legal for you to relocate them. Often this has to be done by a professional, and you may face fines if caught. (Varies from country to country and state to state in the USA to my understanding.

I’ve had similar proximity issues with raccoons and my chickens in mobile pens/tractors. I don’t personally kill them either, that is happening at the other end of the property. Some nights I was seeing 6 Raccoons sitting right next to my tractors and chickens. It’s scary. I’m glad you’re getting the duck house more secured for your babies. You made a good call on bringing them in, I’ve seen the results of coons reaching through fencing, tearing apart hardware cloth, and getting a hold of chickens. It’s sad.
