HELP, HELP I SCREWED UP.. he's still alive

....and lets lay off lacrystol.  :)

We all make mistakes....and its pretty clear she feels awful about it, having the ducklings' best interests at heart....
What's done is done....lets just focus on helping.
:)

You are so sweet thank you, this is my first time trying to hatch call ducks from day one and i realize that some of my judgement calls aren't correct, I'm just trying to do the best I can, it seems everything I have done so far is incorrect or wrong. I did some reach before I began but sometimes that's not enough and you just have to learn as you go, but thank you...

It's not like I'm purposely trying to distroy them..

i disagreee. its not a one stop shop sometimes eggs need to be assisted.
without assistance my last 4 hatches would have been a wreck.

i personally believe you did the right thing. and yes by all means if ur humidity went that low you needed to get it back up fast or these guys would be shrink wrapped

Thank you....

OMG you should really stop messing with them.  Eggs are a one-stop shop.   They'll do their own things, they don't need to be helped, or have their shell removed? (Why would you do that??)  We raise calls and have learned that after lockdown just WATCH don't TOUCH.  26 days is about right +/- a day or two.

:p

Agreed.

People have told me I concern myself too much with humidity levels....but my hatch rates are higher than theirs.
In this case, I believe misting was a good judgement call.  :)

whew thank god, I'm thinking they were enjoying the misting since that's when they moved the most...

Misting was an Ok choice. If it drops again run the tap until its super hot water. Fill a bowl add a sponge and place in the bator. Even if it means removing one already in there. The steam will help increase humidity quicker for you. Now hopefully you don't have to, but atleast you know for future hatches.

Have no clue why it took a drop like that never had that happen before but I have extra sponges ready in case it does it again...

Okay get ahold of yourself lol they are gonna need their mommie. :hugs   AND DON"T open that bator!!!

I won't but I can't believe it, wholly crap they surely took a beating from me, Omg, I not ready, I'm staring at it thinking, you little stinker, your a tough cookie, I think I will name it hulk.... Hahaha.

Omg I just can't believe it.. The funny part is its one that wasn't shaking yesterday... woooooo whoooo, I cant wait I'm sooooo excited now... Omg....

That is so funny, I'm on the edge of my seat stressing, freaken out and your sitting there reading a book. Hahahaha..

We have 10 more to crack open... I know earlier I said 9 but I was wrong, I had 12 but lost the one due to my error and now we have a cracker, and 10 more to go... Woooooo whoooooo..

let them do the crackin you do the nail biting .. my goodness the stress the first one caused you .. you don't want to go through that again .. And with your humidity issues there might be a delay .. luckily I tuned in late or I would have been stressing more with you : ) As I have made your mistake too .. a couple times for different reasons .. But In the end no matter what you tell your self it is almost always better to let nature take its course. Even if they couldn't get out .. more than not they wont make it any way .. And then you are left with that horrible what if ... Please keep us posted !
You have no Idea how much I am really pulling for you !!!!!! and them

OMG WE HAVE A CRACKER, ONE OF THE EGGS IS CRACKING!!!!! It's a miracle, absolute miracle, after all I PUT THEM THROUGH ONE IS COMING,!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG, I don't think I'm ready, I can't breathe, omg, they are coming.... YIPPPPPPIEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
Congrats. And be ready to be patient, it can still take it another 24-48 hours to get out of there.
