It looks like it is, I clicked on the pic and it enlarged top left of the egg head and eye then yellow seems to be yoke. Is that bad? Since it hasn't absorbed it?

I don't know me steak I know the black thing is defiantly the head. It keeps moving, they are hardly any blood vessels does this mean its nearly ready ?

Is there feathers on the yellow bit? The reduced blood vessels are an excellent sign.

To be honest, the yolk had gone on all my chicks. If that is yolk you have to stop for it to go I think Sumi said.

So did I, but one of my silkies has yellow on it that is the colour of yolk. I hope it is that.

yes you have to stop while it absorbs the yoke, from what I have read.

Also my other egg with the large viena I can feel something hard but it feels like a leg ?

You have to know if it is yolk really. If it is, just leave it in the incubator so it absorbs it. Keep the humidity up too.

Okay okay ! I'll leave them in there, some how I'm know I'm going to spend my evening sitting next to the incubator !

Keep him moist, but not wet. He is still "cooking" I think hes got at least another 12 hours to go. Thats a ton of yolk for just about to hatch. Just keep him moist and keep an eye out, watch for the beak as he will try and puncture the membrane. When he is ready, his beak will come up, he will push on the membrane where it needs to be punctured.
