Help hen having trouble breathing, pale comb!

Does any one have any suggestions on where to go from here? She was on tylan 50 for 5 days ( this was her 1st day without it) and this is her 3rd day on oxine treatments ( still hoping the filter on the humidifier isnt filtering out the oxine, read something about that, humidifier doesn't work with out the filter) she almost seems to be doing more open mouth gurgly breathing today than yesterday. Was hoping to see more improvement... Not sure if I should have stopped the tylan 50, don't know if I should start her on metronidazole or a different antibiotic. She still has the little yellow pimple looking things in her throat... Anyway... I don't know where to go from here, have never dealt with anything like this before. All of her coop mates are fine including the 2 little Cochin chicks from the same coop she was in.

I agree with @azygous if a full round of Tylan50 has not made a marked improvement, then extending it will not be beneficial.

The Metronizadole may help if the cause is canker. As mentioned by @Eggcessive the yellow pimples are caused by a virus then generally neither medication will help.

Is her crop emptying completely overnight?

You've done a full round of Tylan plus the fogger with Oxine. The logical next step is to try the metronidazole. But I recommend continuing the Oxine for now in addition.

If it's a protozoa causing her woes, this should lick it.
Thank you azygous... Any idea on metronidazole dosing... I've been trying to find it but am finding answers anywhere from 60mg to 250mg and still not sure how many times a day. We have metronidazole 250 mg pills. Last night we did give her 1/4 of a pill (62.5mg) .

METRONIDAZOLE. Each tablet 250 mg. Give smaller birds ½ tablet by mouth once daily for 5 days for respiratory infections. Give ½ tablet once daily for other infections. If the bird is 8 pounds or heavier, try one whole tablet once a day for 5 days.
She is a banty cochin... So should she get 1/4 of a tablet ... She weighs 2 lbs. Tops... Im not sure she even weighs that much... Our scale said 2 lbs. But not sure how accurate it is, it's pretty old.

Today will be her 5th day of metronidazole treatment... Am a little worried as this morning she is open mouth breathing again with some gurgling sounds. She still has the yellow pimple looking spots in her throat, they haven't gotten any bigger. Not sure what to do next... A couple of days ago she seemed to be getting better and breathing with no gurgling. Past couple days seems she's gone back to how she was... Not sure oxine is doing much...

I'm sorry she is not improving:hugs

I quickly went back over everything you have tried/done so far.
The only thing we have not looked at would be the possibility of worms. Hopefully @azygous will chime in with her thoughts too.

Is there any way possible for you to get fecal test performed by a vet? I do realize that some vets refuse to do this, but if you have a dog/cat vet that you have a relationship with they may be willing.

I hate to keep suggesting things, the poor dear has been a trooper and so have you. I don't believe she would have made it this far without your kindness and attentive care.
