Help hen having trouble breathing, pale comb!

Oxine is all -purpose and completely safe. There's a caveat with that statement. You may want to "activate" the Oxine with citric acid. This gives Oxine super-power qualities, but this renders Oxine unsafe to use in the presence of your chickens until after it dries, and you need to wear a mask when applying it. This is what you want to use if disinfecting for avian viruses such as Marek's and all bacteria. You need to use this mixture immediately since it's chemically unstable. It's a great thing to use when doing a yearly deep cleaning of the coop. It's 200 times more effective than chlorine.

Oxine in a plain water solution is completely safe to use in the presence of chickens and even applied directly on the birds. It's unequaled as a fogger for respiratory illness and for chickens who are having trouble breathing.

It does sound like she could benefit from Oxine vapor treatment. This stuff counters both bacterial and viral infections. Used with the Tylan, it could tip the scale in her favor. Even if you have no vaporizer, you can mix up a quart spray bottle and spritz her in the face several times a day. You can order it here. https://www.revivalanimal.com/product/oxine-animal-health-ah?sku=15101-801

Here is a write-up on Oxine to help you learn how to use it. https://www.shagbarkbantams.com/the-many-uses-of-oxine-ah-animal-health/
Definitely going to order some oxine today but probably won't get here for at least a couple of days. Do you think in the mean time I should try putting vet Rx in my essential oils defuser (it's the kind that blows a mist out the top)?

I know you addressed Carol, but if you have Vet Rx, I would use it:)

Any help is appreciated Wyorp Rock:). Have been using vet Rx since I found her out in their pen gasping... Have put it on her nostrils and other recommended points... Also hung q-tips in her cage that we're soaked in vet Rx... Just thinking maybe that mist might be more beneficial. My wife and I both smelled Nics mouth and it doesn't stink... Couldn't see any deeper in her mouth... Can only see the few little spots when she is doing bigger open mouth breathing (if that makes any sense). Can they have canker without bad breath?

As far ask I know, canker has a very bad smell. I have not dealt with it, but everyone that has asked for help with it always mention a terrible smell first thing.

If you have the little instruction paper that comes with the Vet Rx it should tell you how to use it in a vaporizer. Just in case you don't have those, here's the section about vaporizer use:
""Vaporizer: If deciding to use a vaporizer, make certain that it is a hot water model. Follow the manufacturer's directions. Fill the cup with VETRx™ full strength and operate the vaporizer for at least one (1) hour while birds are roosting.""

Some people "tent" the cage their sick bird is in with a sheet or towel to help the with the vapor - of course you don't want to close it up too tightly. At this point, it's very well worth a try until you can get the Oxine.

This is what the phlem looks like that I swab out of her mouth... Some is yellow and some clear... any ideas? Am i using the right meds on her?

Have had the diffuser(with vet Rx in it) running for about half hour now with towel over part of her cage... How long should I run it?
I would run it for 30mins to an hour a couple of times a day if possible. Especially once at night since that's the time she seems to have the most trouble.
