I have a 2 day almost 3 day old silkie chick, who appears to have a minor case of splayed leg. I got some vitamins and electrolytes and hobbled her with the rubber band straw method. It is freaking out and hasn't stopped making noise or trying to peck it off. HELP. Will it get used to it? Or should I just take it off and hope the vitamins do the trick?

Do you have any pictures of the chick standing? There can be other leg problems besides splay legs. It does take some getting used to wearing a hobble. If you have a little cup or wine glass that you can pad and place the chick into, for short periods to get used to standing with the legs closer together, that might help.

She took a little nap and is back at it again lol. She actually was doing pretty good getting around and was pulling her legs under her to walk, but stumbled and one leg seemed to still want to go out. I wish I could post video
