Help! i can't find that "Perfect breed"!

i've been looking for that "perfect breed" for a long time! tell me what you think is a good starter breed! one that will not try to hop or fly 2.5 foot chickenwire. please help!

What do you want/ Fanciness or eggs? Meat of roos? Where do you live? that factors into the perfect bird.

i live up north in MN, i don't care how good they produce egss, they are going to be mostly pets so i wouldn't want to eat them ether

If I had to do it all over, I would get a bunch of EE's. They are very pretty birds, come in lots of colors, most will lay a blueish greenish egg and are pretty tame. I really like mine.

I would get easter eggers and buff orpingtons. Maybe a barred rock or two, because barred rocks are bad flyers

It depends on what you want... but I think Delawares and Barnevelders are perfect if you are asking for a opinion.

I don't know of any breed of chickens that will not "hop or try to fly" over a 2.5 ft fence. I suggest you do some research before you buy. One mans perfect breed is another mans yuk.
