I have to disagree. The other BO is a pullet.Both genders have what you call a crown (a comb) but males will mature and develop theirs faster than females. Both are cockerels.

If you're allowed roosters where you are, don't be too quick to send him packing. I'm sure ill-mannered ones are out there, but so far, I haven't met a Buff Orpington fellow that wasn't either calmly cordial or downright social.
