Help! I just got some free 10 day old incubated eggs! *hatching!!*

Yes, leghorns would be factory layer birds. Rocks and cornishes are the other "factory" production birds.
 
no dont give up yet, because I read around that some broody hens leave their nest for more then an hr and a half and most of the eggs still hatched. if you have a hydrometer use that too. temp need to be about 100. I even heard some people hatch eggs using body heat lol. make sure you turn them 3x a day though

NOPE, don't give up! My hen got off her eggs one night and I came back and found them cold and put them back under her and they ALL hatched!

Push comes to shove you could use your body for heat or maybe a heat pad to help until you get everything sorted!

There was an article in the Backyard Poultry magazine about using an electric skillet as an emergency incubator. They lined it with straw & put a cup with water in with the eggs to make it humid.
