I do think mine has a particularly dark crest. But I’m looking more at the size of the crest vs the color. And I’m certainly not an expert! Yours totally could be a CCL. My answer is solely based on the fact that I think yours looks more like my Olive Egger than my CCL. But they look so similar I’m sure some is just individual characteristics.

Sure, I appreciate that info too! I suppose nothing will be certain until there's an egg laying around. She's friendly and very soft spoken. She is at the bottom of the pecking order. This could be due to her being set back by what we think to be a vitamin deficiency.

Yeah CCLs are also not a dual purpose breed like most production birds are these days. Meaning they will be a little smaller and more petite than most breeds. So don’t be surprised if she just starts “falling behind” in growth. I think that’s normal.
