I have heard that this may be just because she is broody but I am on who likes to have multiple opinion so take a look at this photo and tell me what you think. It appeared very quickly but does not appear to have any affect on her.

Well it seems I have confirmation, the white flecks on the comb is what I was concerned with .. had not seen it happen in my limited experience with chickens. I guess it's just because she's broody.
 
Yes, it seems that her wattles and comb have a bit of dryness. I don't think it is fungal, just keep an eye on it. You can rub a little Vitamin A & D ointment (petrolatum based, baby rash ointment) on the comb and wattles, which is soothing and protective for the skin.

I use a nice little herbal ointment by Country Comfort on my chickens. It has Goldenseal and Myrrh in it. Both ingredients are antifungal, and antibiotic while also moisturizing. Inexpensive product, I have one jar for me and one for the chickens!
