Still kicking and chirping but the membrane still looks bloody so I have not removed anymore. How is the chick?
Try a little more and see what happens. The chick could hurt itself on the egg shell.Still kicking and chirping but the membrane still looks bloody so I have not removed anymore.
It really cannot move anything except the leg that's now loose. I started to chip more away but still seems like to much blood. Maybe try more in 6 hoursTry a little more and see what happens. The chick could hurt itself on the egg shell.
could you try getting a picture for us with the inner membrane wet so we can see the veins?Better pic
I believe the yoke has absorbed or at least near all of it. But it still starts to get bloody when u start to pull the membrane. Which is very rubbery and hard to tear
That means the chick will most likely not be able to get out on its own. Use your best judgement. Even an hour can make a difference. There usually is a little blood when hatching. If you have nutridrench, giving the chick a drop (undiluted) will help if you can reach the beak.Better pic

The air cell end is closest to the camera? Looks like those veins were damaged where it pipped and likely wont get smaller. It looks ready to get out to me. Even with the veins not being fully absorbed. If the yolk is gone you can pull chickie out. Here where it' at now with me tearing more membrane. Also It' legs are shivering shaking like it' cold.
